This 2.5-hour group clinic was designed with the beginner in mind – we welcome complete newbies as well as people who have tried surfing on their own for a while and still need help. We will walk you through all the basics to get you started and catching waves! The class starts with a short land lesson covering safety, paddling mechanics, and how to catch waves and get up on the board. After that we'll head out in the water and instructors will rotate around helping each person 1-on-1. You can expect approximately 1:30-2 hours of "water time" in the 2.5-hour total lesson. Maximum ratio of 4 students per instructor. Other things to note Arrive 20+ mins early! Parking costs $8 (subject to change). This is a group class, we cannot hold up others for late parties. We're back! It was a long two years. All that's needed now are your hands, your passion, and a little guidance from us and you'll be making and eating exceptional pizza. First I’ll show you how to make dough … and eat a little pizza. I'll teach you about the importance of time and temperature, about different yeasts and how to make poolish. Oh... it's recess... gotta eat some pizza. Next we'll practice what is probably the hardest yet funnest part of all.... opening up a Neapolitan pizza ball. You'll learn to massage the dough, so the air moves outward toward the edge - otherwise known as the cornicione. Now, take a moment , have some pizza. You deserve it. Looking for an authentic San Francisco experience? Trade the tour bus for a vintage Volkswagen bus that easily navigates the city’s less-traveled lanes from the Golden Gate to the Painted Ladies. You will be picked up at our easily accessible pickup location and driven by one of our professional guides in either Lillie or Harvey, our two fully restored vintage 1971 Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter Buses. The tour will last approximately 3 hours and you will get to see all that San Francisco has to offer including 5 photo stops. We meet in Sausalito then shuttle to Mill Valley, where we start our walking exploration of Marin's magical redwood forest. Following quiet backroads and footpaths, we retreat to quiet groves of ancient redwood trees and follow spring-fed creeks to natural pools and cascading falls. In this peaceful forest, unique to the northern California and southern Oregon coastal region, the sequoia sempervirens soar hundreds of feet into the sky, providing an unequaled nature experience at base of mighty Mt. Tamalpais. Along the way, you learn about the coastal redwoods' amazing ecology and their clever adaptations for survival over many millions of years.
