Our kayaking eco tour explores both the wonderful waters & beautiful beaches of Shell Key Preserve. This is an entirely outdoors experience! We do have to adjust daily tour times to work with the tides+weather so PLEASE LET US KNOW if you are only available for the 1 time slot you select. We'll meet everyone at the launch, do intros, give waterproof bags,& get prepped for kayaking. No experience needed; we'll give everyone a paddling overview! We use primarily double kayaks for ease+comfort. (Your booking time is the planned arrival time. Average water depth 2ft) After that we'll get launched into Shell Key Preserve, a beautiful shallow environment with tons of wildlife & a very interesting ecosystem which we'll discuss+the history of the Preserve! From the shallow seagrass flats to the large mangrove islands to the pristine beaches of Shell Key itself we'll try to cover it all! Including traveling through some mangrove tunnels (tides permitting, mainly Mar-Oct) We'll also look for+talk about some of our incredible wildlife in the Preserve including dolphins, manatees, & other fish/birds! Take a clear kayaking adventure through Shell Key Preserve, a tropical paradise with unique marine habitats. Your knowledgeable ecotour guide will welcome you and provide brief paddling and safety instructions. Then, you’ll be loaded into your tandem clear kayak and off on a 2-hour adventure! Your tour guide leads the way around the mangrove islands, through the shallows, and to the beach. If the tide is high, your guide will show you a hidden mangrove tunnel. You’ll also take a break at Shell Key Beach, where you can collect shells, take in the views, and be surrounded by nature. Your guide will be happy to take plenty of photos, provide awesome unique facts, and make sure you have fun along the way! While in the preserve, be on the lookout for a Manatee or the beautiful pink Roseate Spoonbills in the summer months. White Pelicans call the sandbars of Shell Key Preserve their home during the winter months! Dolphins frolic in crystal-clear waters throughout the year, and cormorants love to swim alongside your kayak. Don’t forget to look through your clear kayak for a unique view of the ecosystems that are underwater! Chances are that you’ll see a variety of wildlife, but sightings are random and not guaranteed.

Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not be the place that you will have your experience. After you book I will send out the location. It will be either Lutz, Odessa, or S. Saint Petersburg. If you book first, I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment used in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you for being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: PLEASE BRING BOOTS or Tennis shoes. There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please choose a different experience. We want you to come away feeling alive and in tune with the natural world. You will be wearing a full bee suit.

We will provide you with ice cold drinking water, a waterproof bag to protect your cellphone, keys, wallet, etc. We'll walk down to the kayak launch area and go over all safety precautions including proper use of your life jacket & provide a detailed paddle lesson. Once we are ready to paddle, we will embark on a two hour kayak adventure exploring beautiful Sarasota Bay and the world famous Lido Key mangrove tunnels. I'll tell you all about the interesting history of our beautiful bay as well as talk to you about the incredible flora and fauna we encounter! If we are lucky, we may even be visited be amazing dolphins and gentle manatees. Then, we will journey through Lido Key's spectacular mangrove tunnels while we learn of their importance to our coastal ecosystem. Once our tour is over, we will send you on your way with memories that will last a lifetime. Our casual, 3 hour ride includes downtown landmarks, historical locations and ventures through various neighborhoods. With plenty of informative stops built in, this ride is designed to be easy for casual riders and includes a stopover in Hyde Park Village with enough time for a little exploration or a coffee (or beer!) and snack if you're so inclined. We'll meet at the designated cafe right by the beach where there is plenty of public parking, then walk a few steps over to the beach and watch the sunset while I snap golden hour photos of you and your crew! You'll take in the gorgeous views and splash in the ocean as I take your pictures walking alongside the beach. Primarily a couples experience (you will add the quantity of *2* people when booking) unless you would prefer to have a family session in which I can accommodate you for! Once professionally edited, I will send you the link to the online gallery, where you can download your pictures. This gentil and relaxing beach yoga experience is for all levels and meets at the southern most tip of Treasure Island. Local beach lovers secretly hail this as the best beach on the pennisula because of it’s bohemian decorated houses, tiki huts, and white sands. Bring your beach towel or yoga mat and join Carolina under the Caribbean pine trees for gentle Hatha Yoga class. Carolina begins with setting an intention, breathing exercises and then moving into physical postures. Wind down with stretching to prepare you for relaxing singing bowl to help open your heart energy center. The sound of the ocean waves will allow to relax deeper into ourselves. Class ends as the sun sinks into the sea, and then go for a swim to share your local experience with your new friends you met during Carolina’s class. *Winter time, classes may be changed for morning time, 9am.

Looking to capture memories of your family vacation? Let me take you on a nature walk through the local mangroves to capture priceless memories of your family amongst the Florida wildlife! As sunset approaches, we will walk to a local residential beach, free of crowds, to stick your toes in the sand. Kids will have a chance to just be kids and everyone can enjoy a leisurely walk along the coastline as the waves crash at your family’s feet. I’ll be there to capture every laugh as you soak up the last of the day’s sunshine. A family photo session is one of the best ways to capture the memories of your vacation. Leave your stress behind - this is just a fun hour with a local photographer that has a passion for capturing authentic memories - smiles and coordinated outfits are optional! Within 2-3 weeks of your session, you will receive a minimum of 25 fully edited, high resolution photos electronically that you can download. The price is set for each group, so please book the "group pricing" option or book for one guest. Start time will be one hour before sunset and is estimated on Airbnb and will be communicated at booking. Parking is an additional $2.50/hour.

I will provide 1 to 10 (Private Booking) guests with all the necessary forms and tools to construct a large sand castle. I will walk the guests through the process of setting up the forms and sealing the forms so that the sand placed into the forms hardens and is ready to sculpt. I will teach participants how to use the tools properly so they can create a large beautiful sand castle! Other things to note: Plan on getting to the beach early to avoid the crowds and the parking hassle.

We are Shell Key's #1 kayak tour. We provide 2 guides on every tour to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Upon arrival, guests will be offered a paddle instruction, making this experience perfect for both experts and first-timers. We use comfortable sit-inside kayaks and paddle at a leisurely pace through the preserve while I tell about the local history, and wildlife & nature we find along the way. Depending on tidal conditions, we will explore one or more of the hidden mangrove tunnels tucked away in the preserve. Approximately half-way through the tour, we will stop at one of several possible landing sites at the island of Shell Key to stretch our legs, swim, snorkel, or collect shells. After enjoying the island, we will make our way back through the preserve, possibly visiting areas or tunnels we did not see before, always keeping a watchful eye out for dolphins, manatees, and the many species of birds that live in the area. We will arrive back at the launch site approximately 3 hours after launch time. Other things to note Contact me before booking if you need a tandem kayak. Anyone under the age of 12 must be in a tandem with an adult. Children 3 and older are welcome on the tour.
