You can see and experience Japanese old and historical textile -Nishijin ori - fabrics here.
An absolute must-see for lovers of kimono and woven textiles. Only a 20-25 minute walk from Jam Jar. Weaving demonstrations available. Nice little museum and a great kimono fashion show on the 3rd floor every hour on the hour. All free. Very close to the Imperial Palace.
Nishijin-ori (西陣織, Nishijin fabric) is a traditional textile produced in the Nishijin (西陣) district of Kamigyō-ku in Kyoto, Japan. Nishijin weaving originated in Heian-kyōto, Japan, over 1200 years ago
